so, as some of u may know i make and sell monsterous power cables on ebay. they are upgrade cables for anything that has an IEC detachable powercable on the back...namely: home theater recievers, dvd/cd players, televisions, studio monitors, guitar amps...and more recently the computer gamers have been buying them for thier monitors and computers. silly as it may sound, the difference in perforance is staggering. this is the cable i usually make:



i custom make them to length...just did a 40'er for a guys mixing board. but i got an email from a guy who wanted me to upgrade his power conditioner for his massivly overclocked computer...eh, what the hell...

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">i sell a 6'er on ebay for a BIN of $95....and $5 for each additional foot. now keep in mind this is not just a 'fat power cable'. its Hospital grade plug and IEC ends, triple 8-gauge cable, and it has a ferrite isolation cap (the big bump in the middle in the first pic). if u buy this from a name-brand company...they'd charge $300-$400.
